About the IBA
The IBA is a non-profit organization with the goal of supporting and advancing the bungee jumping industry globally. The organization was founded and registered in 2025 by a group of industry leaders and field experts who were part of the task force drafting ASTM 62522, the first ever International Standard for bungee jumping.
Mission
The IBA’s mission is to further the development and safe practice of bungee jumping by uniting operators, individuals, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction under the common goal of commitment to and global promotion of the ASTM 62522 standard.
Objectives
The IBA’s current objectives are to grow its member base, assist with the final publication of 62522 and then aid in its promotion. Also to build a trusted brand and organization that serves the industry positively.
